Built Around Your Community

Neighbors First, Security Second

Taurus Protection Inc. provides HOA security in Santa Barbara for the communities where the people behind the gate know each other by name. Guarding a community is not the same as guarding a warehouse. Residents want to feel safe without feeling policed, and a board needs a vendor it can trust in front of homeowners.

Our officers learn the community, recognize the regulars, and become a familiar, steady presence instead of a rotating cast of strangers. They handle the real work, patrols, gate access, and incidents, while staying the kind of approachable that residents thank you for at the annual meeting.

What We Provide

Security Built for Community Life

Vehicle & Foot Patrol

Regular, randomized patrols of common areas, perimeter, and residential streets, so coverage never settles into a predictable pattern.

Gate & Access Control

Manning and monitoring the gate, controlling who comes in, and keeping unauthorized vehicles and visitors out.

Visitor Management

Logging guests, vendors, and deliveries so there is a clear record of who entered the community and when.

Camera & Alarm Monitoring

Working with your existing cameras and access systems and responding to alarms. See our virtual monitoring service.

Emergency Response

Fast response to medical incidents, fire, and security breaches, with officers trained in CPR and first aid and coordinated with local responders.

Resident Services

Helpful extras residents notice: directions, assistance, and vacation watch on homes while owners are away.

How We Work With Your Board

A Partner, Not Just a Patrol

01

A Plan Built for You

We do not hand every community the same template. Your plan is built around your layout, your gates, your problem spots, and your budget.

02

Regular Board Check-Ins

We meet with the board to review what is working, what came up, and what to adjust, so security is never a black box.

03

A Community Liaison

You get one point of contact who knows your community and answers the phone, not a call center and a ticket number.

04

We Keep Improving

As the community changes, the plan changes with it. We adjust patrols and posts to where the risk actually is.

For the Board Meeting

You Can Show the Work

When a resident asks what the board is doing about safety, you should have a real answer, not a shrug. Every patrol and incident is documented, so you walk into the meeting with proof of exactly what your security dollars bought.

That record protects the board, too. If an incident ever leads to questions or a claim, you have a clear, dated account of what happened and how it was handled.

What Your Board Receives

Common Questions

HOA Security FAQs

We already have a security vendor. Why switch to Taurus?
Most boards switch for one of two reasons: the officers keep changing, or the patrols are not really happening. We solve both with consistent, accountable officers and documented reporting you can verify. If your current vendor cannot show you proof of the work, that is usually the sign.
How do we know your officers actually show up and patrol?
Every patrol is logged with the time and location of each pass, and your board receives reports showing exactly what was covered. You also get a single point of contact who answers the phone, so a missed patrol is something you can catch and we can correct, not something that quietly slips.
Are you more expensive than a low-bid security company?
Sometimes, and on purpose. We are not the warm-body, lowest-bid company, because that model is what creates the turnover and missed patrols boards complain about. You are paying for officers who stay, who know your community, and who are backed by real reporting. For most boards that ends up cheaper than replacing a cheap vendor every year.
Are your officers licensed and insured?
Yes. Taurus operates under California PPO 120624, every officer holds the state guard registration required by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and we carry insurance with certificates available on request. Officers can be armed or unarmed based on what your community needs.
Can you work with our existing gates, cameras, and visitor system?
Yes. We operate and monitor the systems your community already has, the gate, access points, cameras, and alarms, and we can pair on-site officers with remote monitoring. We work with what you have rather than forcing you to rip it out.
What does our board actually receive each month?
Documented patrol logs, incident reports, and a clear monthly summary your board can review, plus a named point of contact who can attend meetings when you need them. The goal is that you never have to wonder what your security is doing.
